Enabling Your Alma Account – Parents and Students

Hello! It’s time for Alma access! Alma is our new SIS (Student Information System) that replaces PowerSchool. Parents receive an email from Holy Rosary School Seattle Notifications ( Below are the instructions to enable your Alma account. Students in grades 5-8 can also enable their own account.

Follow the instructions in the email. If you didn’t get an email, contact Mr. Barker for a reset. The email contains your Alma username which you’ll need to sign in. To enable your account, click on the link in the email. This will take you to the create password page. DO NOT login with a Google account at this time. You’ll be able to connect a Google account after you sign in. Create a password for your username, then continue signing in to Alma.

Once signed in you’ll see your child/ren listed.

  • Home – calendar, child/ren
  • Directory – staff directory
  • Calendar – list of some dates. For a more detailed calendar, use
  • Child’s name – grades can be found under Overview or Classes tab by clicking on the class name.

To link to a Google account – In the upper right corner click on your initials circle icon, go to Connected Accounts, and in the Google row click Connect Account and then specify the Google account you’d like to connect. Once connected, the next time you log in you can use the Sign In with Google option.

To edit/update your personal information (such as address, phone number, or email) – In the upper right corner click on your initials circle icon, go to My Info and click on the field you’d like to edit. Be sure to save when finished by clicking on the green Save button.

A few things to know – Alma does not have a mobile app at this time. Visit from your mobile browser to sign in. Alma does not have parent email notifications for grades or assignments. Check Alma regularly to be aware of grades and assignments.
